UK limits migrants workers from other European countries, charges companies for skilled labor

The U.K. has been a country that has had quite a record of controversy over the years. With issues regarding its own politics all the way to events that have to do with its own royalty and the members within the bloodline, the U.K. has, without a doubt, been one of the countries that have been under the eye of scrutiny for quite some time. With their latest announcement of the U.K. leaving the European Union, things have become a bit more complex for jolly old England. It looks like as long as they insist on not being part of the European Union, the U.K. has decided to do something with the people migrating into the country as well as companies that desire skilled labor.

Bloomberg claims that ministers of the U.K. will be planning to set a limit on migrants entering the country from the European Union. This, of course, all follows after the U.K.'s very popular "Brexit" regime. The ministers of the U.K. state, however, that they are not doing in this in any way to stop people from coming into the U.K. They do desire, however, to make it so that coming into the U.K. with the desire to work is done in a controlled fashion. The ability to control the numbers that come into the country were granted by the Brexit negotiations.

With regards to the charging of companies willing to hire outside of the country, Metro states that the fee required to do such a task would be about 1,000 pounds, equivocally $1,200. With this new price comes a new name, known as the "immigration skills charge" which will involve an annual charge for companies seeking labor from the European Union or outside of the U.K. This same charge will be implemented on businesses for every skilled worker they employ from outside Europe. This means that, as an example, a four-year contract would mean employers must pay a 4,000 pound fee. With the new changes coming to the U.K., it looks like their main purpose for applying these changes, which will begin in April, are to have a tighter and more vigilant control of the numbers that will be coming into the country.
